This week is National Tourism Week, and we in San Antonio have much to celebrate!
According to San Antonio’s Convention & Visitors Bureau, travel and tourism has an $11 billion annual impact to the Alamo City, employs 100,000 people and brings 25 million people per year to our city.
And, according to San Antonio Tourism Council, San Antonio has five of the top ten tourist attractions in Texas: The Alamo (#1), The River Walk (#2), SeaWorld San Antonio (#3), Six Flags Fiesta Texas (#8) and the San Antonio Zoo (#9).
These attractions – and more – also have great appeal for the locals as well. With the climbing price of fuel, a sluggish job market and other economic factors, many area residents are choosing “staycations” as well.
